Wipe down the microwave – Getting Organized

Getting Organized:
In your home and homeschool

Happy Friday! It’s the last day in the kitchen as we detail clean. Today, let’s wipe out the microwave, and if it needs it, wipe down the vent over your stove top. I use a cup of hot lemon water and my FlyLady purple cloth to clean both of these. The lemon water cuts the grease, and the cloth wipes it away. It takes me less than 15 minutes to do this each month. I do try to wipe any spills in the microwave that happen during the month, and I remind  the boys to wipe it as well. So it is not terrible when I do this detail cleaning. I hope you like the way your kitchen looks this week!

Have a great week-end!

Wipe down the microwave – Getting Organized — 3 Comments

  1. Hi Tami! Thanks for these posts. I’m enjoying starting my day by going to your site to get part of my to do list!

Question…just thinking about implementing all of this (I’m really trying to get organized before we start a full load of school in September). I noticed you said that you do your microwave monthly. Is that something that you will have reminders for us on as well, or should we set monthly reminders on our own calendars. I would of course clean if it got bad, but I’m just trying to “systemize” as much as I can so I don’t have to think so much! :)

    Thanks,
    Stephanie

    • Hi, Stephanie! Thanks for reading. I usually put a mission down each month to remind you to wipe down the microwave. I do use my digital calendar a lot for reminders, such as changing the air filters and checking batteries. Have a wonderful week!
