How does Plan and Play Day help you?

Getting Organized:
In your Home and Homeschool

Dear Friends,
What did you find today when you went sofa and chair diving? Your zone mission is one that is great for kids to do, if you let them keep any money they find in the cushions.
Tuesday is also plan and play day. Have you done your weekly menu planning and budgeting?
Spending a few minutes weekly on these two things will help your home run more smoothly. By menu planning, you eliminate stressing about what’s for dinner. You save time and money by menu planning.
When you do weekly budget checks and bill paying, you can avoid missing payment dates and also track where your money is being spent. One thing to consider checking is the monthly subscriptions you are paying for. Do you use them all? Check your regular accounts and your credit card statements.
Another thing you can check is your calendars. Most of you use a digital calendar, and many of you also use a paper calendar. Once a week, you need to check them against each other and update as needed. My schedule is staying quite busy, so I check mine against each other on Sunday nights.
Now, let’s think about the PLAY part of plan and play day. What do you enjoy? You need to do things you enjoy daily, but on Tuesday, you can make it extra special.
On Tuesday, I do a quick dusting and vacuumming of the area rug. It’s not a big task when broken down, and it makes such a difference in how my house looks when it’s dusted. Getting my Home Blessings done a few at a time really works for my busy schedule.
If you noticed my menu plan for the week, you might have noted that we are using hamburger as a base for a few meals. We planned this over the weekend. We had hamburgers on Friday and pre-cooked the ground beef for shepherd’s pie on Monday and tacos for Tuesday night. If there is any taco meat leftover, it will go into a soup on Wednesday.
Not only did this simplify my meal planning, it was also economical for us to eat this week. I served fresh veggies with each meal as well.
What are some of your menu planning hacks?
Your Zone Mission today is to check the sofa and chair for treasures.
Your Home Blessing for today is to dust and vacuum.
My menu plan for Tuesday is taco Tuesday.
Have a great day
