Two Zones in One Week — You Can Do It!

Getting Organized:
In your Home and Homeschool

Dear Friends,
Can you believe it’s already the end of February? It’s been the rainiest February I can remember. I am really glad I have my routines down pat because it’s hard to get motivated when it rains day after day.
This we are going to be in two zones. This covers a lot of territory, so feel free to make adjustments to the suggestions below to make the zone missions work for you.
Here are you missions for the week:
Zone 5 and Zone 1 Missions: The Living Room, Front Porch, Entryway, and Dining Room
Monday – clear the Living Room floors and vacuum around the edges.
Tuesday – Detail dust the Living Room.
Wednesday – Declutter items that do not belong in the Living Room.
Thursday – Detail vacuum the Living Room. (Check the chairs and sofa)
Friday – Hot Spot Fire Drill – Front Porch, Entryway, and Dining Room.
Set your timers for 15 minutes and then take a break when it goes off!
Weekly Menu Plan
Monday – Chicken Stir Fry
Tuesday – Sloppy Joes and Tater Tots
Wednesday – Soup and Sandwiches
Thursday – Dinner at my mom’s house.
Friday – Take out
Enjoy your week! Keep your routines simple.
This week we are concentrating on the Living Room the first four days of our missions. Use this as an opportunity to look at the flow of your Living Room.
As you move furniture to vacuum along the walls and under the furniture, decide if you want to move things around a bit. You can transform the looks of your Living Room by simple decluttering and moving things around a bit.
When you do your detail dusting, consider the decorative items you have sitting around. Maybe you can move those around or switch them out with other decorative items in your home.
Consider each item you have displayed carefully. By having fewer things sitting out, you have less to clean, and you will notice the things that mean the most to you when you don’t have so much stuff sitting out.
When you drive up to your home this week, really look at your porch. Does it have curb appeal? What can you do to make it better? As you go into the Entryway, look at the things your family has dropped by the door. Check your Dining Room for stash and dash items.
Enjoy your home and enjoy these daily missions. They make a HUGE difference in how your home looks.
Your Home Blessing for today is to wash the sheets.
Your Zone Mission for Monday is detail vacuum around the edges of your Living Room.
My menu plan for Monday is chicken stir fry and salad.
Have a blessed day!
