Jumping Back into Your Routines

Getting Organized:
In your Home and Homeschool

Dear Friends,
Happy anti-procrastination day! This seems fitting since it is the day after Christmas.
The first thing I want you to do today is fix yourself your favorite beverage. Take a deep breath. Relax your shoulders (Yes, I know where you carry your stress.). Breathe again.
Feel better? Spend the next 15 minutes just being quiet. Read your Bible and reflect on your blessings.
Now, you should be in a better frame of mind to work on your list. Get out your Master List. I want you to do a brain dump. Write down everything you want to do. Write for 15 minutes.
Next, get up and do 15 minutes of movement. You sat long enough. (smile) You can walk around the house. You can stretch. It doesn’t matter what you do. The goal is to just move. I also want you to walk away from that list you just wrote. You need a mental break.
After your movement time, go back to the list and put down three small things to do today besides your Home Blessings and Zone Missions. It might just be that you need to do a pick up and declutter mission to recover from Christmas.
As you are ending up 2018, I want you to think about your routines. Where are your struggles? What do you need to have firmly in place in your daily routine?
If your Before Bed Routine is slacking off, put that on your priority list to get going again. The Evening Routine is where you set yourself up for the next day. It helps you avoid stress the next morning.
Your Zone Mission today is to declutter in the Master Bedroom for 15 minutes.
Your Home Blessing for today is to dust, vacuum, wipe windows and mirrors.
My menu plan for Wednesday is Christmas leftovers.
Have a blessed day!
