Frugal Friday

My friend, Crystal Paine of Biblical Womanhood and Money Saving Mom challenged us to dress up like cows today in honor of Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A. Well, I was able to convince my 5 boys dress up like cows with me, so we could eat FREE! And it was so much fun! Besides eating free, we were able to get our picture made with the cow. We got cow (paper) hats and a coloring page. And we got free balloons. They told us to come back bewteen 5-8 for the free DJ. They even gave us 6 copies of the picture posted above!
I was not the only adult dressed up, but I did get a few comments. One elderly lady asked me if I got my food free, too. And I told her that I did. And I talked to one of my former bosses who was the President of our local community college until he retired a few years ago. You gotta love running into people you know when you are dressed as a cow.
It was great, free fun, and I am saving our cow shirts for next year!!!!
PS. The irony of the day is that we ate beef tacos tonight, and two of the boys were still wearing their cow shirts. Ah, the irony of it all!
