Bio

Tami Fox is an author, speaker, homeschool mom, and wife. She has homeschooled her six children for the past 18 years. She has graduated three of her children and is currently homeschooling her three sons, who are in grades 12, 10, and 7.

Tami has been a homeschool speaker both at homeschool conferences and through online webinars for several years. She has written a book on raising children and organizing the home and homeschool called Giving Your Children Wings Without Losing Yours.

In 2018, Tami published a Homeschool Planner and a devotional, Finding Joy in Brokenness.

Tami can speak on a wide variety of topics, including raising children, organizing, unit studies, large family homeschooling, homeschooling with babies and toddlers, homeschooling methods, homeschooling in high school, and how to get started homeschooling.

Tami has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix and is currently a real estate broker, organizational mentor, marketer, and author. Her goal is to encourage women and to help families find peace in their homes.

Kids Are Washable: Let Them Get Dirty

Children learn by doing things. Sometimes this means that children get messy and dirty while they are learning. Let them play, discover, learn, and get dirty. They are washable, and they will learn skills that will enhance their lives. Learning through play makes and education fun and memorable.

As homeschool moms, we are presented with many opportunities to do things for others. Praying and seeking God when you are presented with opportunities outside the home. When you have a family and homeschool, your husband and children are your mission field. You don’t have to go far away to be a missionary. Raising and teaching your children will impact future generations.

Freezer cooking and using a slow cooker can help you have a hot meal on the table without spending hours in the kitchen every afternoon. How to Get Your Children Involved in Household Routines and in Cleaning Their Room

Join Tami Fox, homeschool mom of 6, in a session to give you tips for motivating your children to establish routines and bless your house with you. Establishing routines in your home starts with YOU. Once you have your heart turned to blessing your home, you can share your enthusiasm with your children. Children thrive on routines, and you can teach them by example how routines can free you from drudgery and perfectionism. Developing these routines will also include teaching them how to break their room down into Zones to clean it and organize.

 

Using Unit Studies to Ignite Learning in Your Homeschool

Unit studies are great way to bring fun into your homeschool while helping your child retain information. Children (and many adults) learn best and recall information that they experience in a hands-on way. Bring history to life through living books and discovery learning. Experience science first-hand and learn through successes and failures on how things work. Enjoy the fine arts as a family while learning about historical time periods. Teach children of multiple ages at the same time. Come learn more about the unit study approach in this fast-paced session.

 

Homeschooling with Babies and Toddlers

Are you homeschooling older children and have babies and/or toddlers in the home? Come to this session to learn strategies for scheduling and planning to meet the needs of your little ones while also meeting the educational needs of your older students. This workshop is geared to giving you ideas on things to do with your little ones. If you have preschoolers and below, this session is for you.

 

Homeschooling Through High School

Are you ready to homeschool through high school? Tami and her husband have graduated three of their children from their homeschool. Their children went on to adulthood and their choice of career in different ways. Tami will talk about strategies for homeschooling through high school and give tips on helping your high schooler prepare for the next step that God has for them. If you are overwhelmed with the thoughts of course selection, transcripts, and options for after high school, this is the session for you.
