Taking care of yourself and having fun.

Getting Organized:

In your home and homeschool
Dear Friends,
What do you do for fun? Someone asked me this question recently. So I stopped to think about what I do for fun. As moms we caught up in doing fun things with our kids. Sometimes their fun becomes our fun. But I want you to look back a bit. What did you used to do for fun?
This week, I want you to remember what you like to do for fun and DO IT! You can involve your spouse or kids, or you can do it alone. If you choose to do it alone, you are not allow to have any mommy guilt. You can be a good wife and mother and have a fun activity.
You will find yourself smiling more. You will be more relaxed. You will enjoy some of the things you do every day with a new perspective. You may have pushed some activities to the side when you had children, and even if you still have small children, you can find a little time for a fun activity.

Many of you get hyper-focused on your list of things To Do, and you feel great checking off things. You want to keep that feeling, so you keep working. Before you know it, you are just busy checking of lists and not enjoying something fun. You are task-oriented, and I am suggesting you add in something fun.
Raise your hand if you are sitting there wondering what it is that you can do for fun? I know there are a few of you out there.
Look around your area and see what is going on. Sign up for an art night. Lots of cities have studios where you spend an evening painting.
Go to the library and get yourself a book that you would enjoy reading. Then go to a local coffee shop and have a nice time sipping coffee and reading for pleasure.
Call someone and chat while your spouse occupies the children. I know it used to be so hard for me to have enough quiet in the house to call my mom regularly to chat.
Do a fun craft and have a craft night with friends. You don’t have to do it at your house. Look for a church or community building that will let you use the facility.
Most of you have read enough of my writing to know that I enjoy running, and that is my fun thing to do.
Having fun on a daily basis is a part of taking care of yourself!
What are some fun things you can come up with?
Your Zone Mission today is to declutter and sweep the front porch.

Your Home Blessing for today is to wipe your windows and mirrors.

My menu plan for Wednesday is chicken and a salad.

Have a great day!
